Note About Transliteration

This book is based on the earlier Arabic edition by the author, published in 2006 by Dar Fussilat (Aleppo). Most of the information and historical details are drawn from the books of Ibn al-Arabi himself, especially Rŭĥ al-Quds, al-Durrah al-Fâkhirah and al-Futŭĥât al-Makkiyya, in addition to the famous Arabic historical sources that mentioned some of his affairs and the various social and political developments in that era. Otherimportant references also include some books published recently, dedicated to his life and thinking, in English and Arabic, as will be mentioned and referenced accordingly.
